Install guide

Every plug-in installs the same way. Lucky Beats and Synth'O'Ween have their own step-by-step on their pages.

macOS

  1. Unzip the download.
  2. Double-click fix_mac_plugins.command when it's in the zip: it installs, unblocks and rescans the plug-in for you.
  3. Or copy the .vst3 files to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 and the .component files (AU) to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.
  4. Restart your DAW and rescan plug-ins. In Ableton Live: Settings → Plug-Ins → Rescan.

Windows

  1. Unzip the download.
  2. Copy the .vst3 folders to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
  3. Restart your DAW and rescan plug-ins. In Ableton Live: Options → Preferences → Plug-Ins → Rescan.
  4. If SmartScreen warns about a standalone app, click More info → Run anyway (the apps are not code-signed yet).

Linux

  1. Unzip the download.
  2. Copy the .vst3 folders to ~/.vst3 (Bitwig, Reaper, Renoise, Ardour) and the .lv2 folders to ~/.lv2 (Ardour, Carla, Qtractor).
  3. Restart your DAW and rescan plug-ins. Builds are for x86_64 with glibc 2.35 or newer (Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12, Fedora 36 and later).

If macOS blocks a plug-in

The plug-ins are not notarized by Apple yet, so macOS may quarantine them. Paste this into Terminal, then restart your DAW:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Halcyon.vst3 ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/MixPilot*.vst3 ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Halcyon.component ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/MixPilot*.component

MixPilot

Assisted mixing & mastering

v1.2.1LATESTOct 27, 2026
  • NewFree EQ bands: add up to 12 bands of your own on top of the automatic EQ, each one bell, shelf, notch or cut, static or dynamic, on Stereo, Mid, Side, Left or Right, with solo to hear what it does.
  • NewAnalyzer modes, freeze and a piano strip under the spectrum to see notes as well as frequencies.
  • NewResizable window (60 to 200 %): drag the bottom-right corner. MixPilot remembers your size for every new window.
  • ImprovedA more open, airier master: the styles aim for a little less low end and more air on top, the Master compresses and clips less and lets transients and highs through, and stereo widening stays moderate so highs never turn harsh.
  • ImprovedAIR fader centred at 0 like the others: up for air and sparkle from 10 kHz, down to soften. Your current AIR settings are kept.
v1.1.1Oct 21, 2026
  • ImprovedMixPilot Track and MixPilot Master are now listed under Rems Plugins in your DAW, next to Synth'O'Ween. Existing projects open unchanged.

  • NewOn MixPilot Track, your edits sit on top of the automatic correction and stay in place when it updates. On MixPilot Master, the points move the EQ sliders.
  • ImprovedEdits are saved with your project and can be automated. Existing projects open unchanged.
